Some partnerships are signed. Others are felt in the room. At the 42nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies on October 25 at Winford Manila, PlayTime Entertainment showed up for the third year running to celebrate the industry’s brightest.
PlayTime Entertainment President Crisanto Roy Alcid and PMPC President Fernan De Guzman sealed the partnership on October 1. As Official Entertainment Partner, PlayTime Entertain,emt has now stood beside the Philippine Movie Press Club across its Movies, Television and Music awards for three consecutive years.
Representing PlayTime at the glittering evening were Spokesperson Adela Mae Marshall and MJ Ordillano, Mr. PlayTime and a recent 3rd Runner-Up at Mr. Global.
“For us, this partnership has always been about the people who make Philippine entertainment shine,” said Marshall. “Being with PMPC for a third year, honoring the stars, the filmmakers and the fans who keep Filipino cinema alive, is why we’re here. The cash prizes were the icing on the cake.”
Ordillano, fresh from his own turn in the spotlight on the global stage, called the night a privilege. “It’s an honor to stand with the industry’s brightest as Mr. PlayTime. PlayTime and PMPC both believe that great talent deserves to be seen and celebrated,” he said.
The icing on the cake
The night also brought a few sweet surprises. PlayTime presented the Fan Favorite Award, picked by the public through online voting, to Call Me Mother, along with cash prizes for select acting winners, a little icing on the cake for an evening about celebrating Filipino film.
For PMPC, the collaboration is a natural fit. “We’re thrilled to partner with PlayTime Entertainment again… Their commitment in entertainment and direct connection with fans aligns perfectly with our goal of making the awards more accessible and engaging for the modern audience,” De Guzman said at the October signing.
